Korn’s guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer teamed up with Little Kids Rock, a national nonprofit dedicated to growing music education in disadvantaged public schools, and the Hot Topic Foundation to give a Pasadena, CA school 20 new musical instruments.
Munky didn’t just simply help present the instruments, but added an extra level of excitement by taking the time to jam with the school children who have been learning to play through the Little Kids Rock free program. According to Loudwire, Shaffer helped the students perform the Beatles “Eleanor Rigby” and Michael Jackson’s “Beat it”.
Little Kids Rock is the nation’s leading nonprofit provider of popular music instruction, instruments, and curricula. They have a history of teaming up with popular rockers like Korn’s guitarist James Shaffer. In 2014 Little Kids Rock worked with Joan Jett, Billie Joe Armstrong, and Alice Cooper.
