Kobe Bryant, an 18-time All-Star, played the last game of his basketball career Wednesday night (April 14) in the sold-out Staples Center. He poured in a season high with 60 points and led his team towards a win of 101-96 against the Utah Jazz.
At the end of the game he gave a send-off speech starting off by saying, “I can’t believe how fast 20 years went by. Man, this is crazy. This is absolutely crazy…and to be standing at center court with you guys, my teammates behind me, appreciating the journey we’ve been on…we’ve been through our ups, been through our downs. I think the most important part is we all stayed together throughout.” He continued by sharing his love for the Laker organization since he was a kid.
