This week, NBC kicked off the 9th season of the talent searching show, The Voice. During the first round of blind auditions, people from around the country take their hand at their favorite song and try their hardest to impress the judges. This year the blind auditions were more amazing than ever!
One particularly outstanding performance was done by James Dupré, a Louisiana native who has the voice of a country star. James took the stage and instantly had both the judges and the crowds attention. He sang a rendition of a Hootie and the Blowfish classic, “Let Her Cry”.
After only a few seconds of listening, Blake Shelton hovered his hand the button in front of him. When Pharrell Williams, Gwen Stefani and Adam Levine saw his move they all turned around. Blake laughed and waited a little longer before turning around himself, listening intently to Dupré’s voice. And just when we thought he’d pick Team Blake, Dupré shocked us all by choosing Team Adam!
